Agreement

By adding Beast Hunter to a server, or using its commands, you agree to these terms and to Discord's Terms of Service. Beast Hunter is run by one person, Orient ("we", "us"). How the bot handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.

What the bot does

Beast Hunter automatically acts on messages that match a known scam image set. By adding it, server managers authorise it to:

  • delete matching messages, including forwarded ones;
  • time out the account that posted them, for the length the server configured;
  • send that account a private message about securing it;
  • post reports and a public message in channels the server chose.

Server managers can change or switch off each of these with /bh commands at any time.

Your responsibilities

Server managers are responsible for how the bot is configured in their server, including any custom message texts. You agree not to:

  • use the bot or its custom texts to harass, deceive or harm anyone;
  • try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the bot or its hosting;
  • use the bot in any way that breaks Discord's Terms of Service or the law.

No guarantee

The bot is provided "as is", without any warranty. It can miss scam posts, especially new variants, and in rare cases it can act on a message that is not a scam. It is a helper for moderators, not a replacement for them.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage or loss from using the bot, including deleted messages, timeouts, missed scams or downtime. Server managers can remove a timeout in Discord at any time.

Service, changes and contact

Beast Hunter is free, and every feature works the same for every server. Ko-fi tips are voluntary. As a thank-you, supporters can get a Supporter role with a special color in the Beast Hunter community server. Tips never unlock bot features or faster handling of scam reports. This perk is a courtesy and may change or end at any time.

We may change, pause or stop the bot at any time, and may block servers or users that misuse it. You can stop using it at any time by removing it from your server. If these terms change, the date at the top will be updated, and continued use means you accept the new version.
